An initial appointment with a sports therapist will involve a full assessment of the patients medical history and health.  Any contraindications which present to thr Sports therapist may subsequently be referred to another Healthcare professional.  Upon completion the patient will then be asked to carry out certain assessments as directed to the therapist.  This will offer further insight into the specific muscles/tendons/ligaments involved in the injury.

The massage treatment will take up the majority of the session time, however it is also important to focus on the strengthening exercises which will further enchance the massage treatment given.  The sports therapist will give guidance and support on these exercises which should be carried out regularly between each treatment.
